New album, “Powers Of Darkness”, outon May 9th!
“Powers Of Darkness” (Swedish: “Mörkrets makter”) was an anonymous 1899 Swedish adaptation of Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel Dracula.
This reading downplays the vampirism of Stoker’s novel and portrays Dracula primarily as the head of an international cult inspired by social Darwinism, new experimental trends that were fashionable at the dawn of the 20th century, when social and religious movements set their ideologies under question.
Yiannis Manopoulos, mastermind of Thelemite said about the concept of the new album: “When I was looking for the concept name for our new record, the combination of this edition, which combines Stoker’s gothic masterpiece, with the Darwinism of our previous “Survival Of The Fittest” (2023), but also the occult, created the magic that connects our two releases thematically, filling me with inspiration.. .but also the feeling that everything happens for a reason, and that …Crowley (our godfather), is watching us from somewhere that I can’t explain at the moment and is rubbing his hands!”
The artwork of this concept album of Thelemite is illustrated once again (as on the successful “Survival Of The Fittest”) by Argentinian fine artist Rodrigo A. Gudiña at Core76 Studio.
