New album, “Hideously Traumatic”, out on July 11th!
Formed in East Java, Indonesia in 2024, Symphobia feature a line-up with a wealth of experience in the brutal death metal underground. Immediately attracting the attention of Comatose Music, this coalition of members of Demented Heart, Perveration and Orbital Element announced their malicious intent with a self titled, two track demo in October ’24 – and now the time for their full length debut album has arrived. Steeped in an atmosphere of terror and displaying an absolute mastery of the most savage sonic artistry, Hideously Traumatic is here!
From the opening rapid fire ferocity of ‘Hecatomb’, Hideously Traumatic drags the listener into an inescapable nightmare of horror beyond endurance. Devastating blast beats and twisting, tormenting riffs attack with an unwavering focus and precision while gore-choked vocals boil and retch, a seething morass beneath the mesh of musical madness. From the aptly entitled frenzied and relentless ‘Incessant’, to the spiral into ultimate destruction that is ‘Monstrously’, through the wicked rhythmic landscape of ‘Deceased’ and the chilling intensity of ‘Heinous’, Symphobia never relinquish their steely grip around your throat. There is no questioning this band’s intent or identity – they exist to destroy with extreme prejudice and unleash indiscriminate sonic slaughter.
