New album, “Sentiens Eklektikos”, out on November 15th!
Born from a passion for sci-fi graphic novels and prog rock, Sentiens Eklektikos explores the surreal question: “What would happen if an android dropped acid?” The album dives deep into themes of love, humanity, and free will, all set against a mind-bending dystopian future. Produced by multi-instrumentalist Solomon AryeRosenschein and Ako-Lite label head John Getze, this latest release showcases STAHV’s evolution from ambient metal soundscapes to more structured, innovative songwriting.
Rosenschein draws inspiration from his own personal experiences, sharing: “My father worked in AI Robotics for Stanford Research Institute in the ’80s. I remember visiting him at work one day and seeing a robot named Flakey wandering around offering people bagels. It had a synthesized voice and emphasized words in a very charming way—it couldn’t quite pronounce the ‘g’ in bagel.”
Sentiens Eklektikos features captivating guest performances, including Stuart Dace on saxophone (Jim Jones All Stars) and David Benson (Transition, Acephalix, Said Sara) on guest vocals, adding depth and texture to the album’s unique sonic universe.
With its blend of experimental elements and sharp songwriting, Sentiens Eklektikos is poised to be a standout in STAHV’s growing discography.
