A gathering of musicians from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Norway, Sentries awaken to release their sonic aura upon an overpopulated world. Forging their own way into darkness, obscured and shapeshifting, they unleash their first public statement.
The debut album Disciples of Void & Fire is packed with a heavy arsenal of fierce hatred and mysterious soundscapes, draped in blood and crawling with infectious melodies. Sentries are both harsh and immersive, always with a nerve, sharp like a needle, ready to pierce both mind and soul. Firmly rooted in black metal, fast-paced and melodic at the same time, Sentries are never easy on the ear: pummeling and striking, an aural attack with passion and anxiety, rage and hate.
Six hymns forged in darkness, six standalone chapters linked together to form a captivating album with one goal: to draw the listener away from reality and seek shelter within its realm of sonic abuse and filth. Sentries’ incantations serve as a gateway to external as well as inner dimensions. No matter the dynamic, it still is sharp as a razor, cutting its way to the very core of your soul.
