New album, “Killkarma”, out on November 7th!
Following their debut HEADSHOT, this new chapter finds the Canadian band sharpening their sound with heavier riffs, darker atmospheres, and raw emotional intensity.
Founded in 2020 by guitarist Steve Elias, SELIAS fuses melodic death metal with groove and alt-metal influences, delivering a sound that’s simultaneously cinematic and crushing. The band’s lineup features Guillaume Pascual on vocals, blending guttural growls, soaring cleans, and ambient keys; Daniel Bouwman on hard-hitting drums; Jeff Hyde on melodic, powerful bass lines; and Steve Elias, whose intricate guitar work anchors the band’s commanding sound.
“With Killkarma, we wanted to sharpen our sound and push every element further—heavier riffs, deeper atmosphere, and more intensity across the board,” says Elias. “It’s the most focused we’ve ever been.”
Fans have already gotten a taste of what’s to come, as SELIAS has been performing new material from Killkarma throughout multiple Canadian tours in 2025, complete with immersive lighting, smoke effects, and dramatic synth moments that elevate their intense live shows.
Drawing influence from In Flames, Soilwork, Rammstein, and Orbit Culture , SELIAS strikes a balance between melodic brutality and cinematic depth. Killkarma promises to be an emotionally charged, unapologetically heavy statement from one of Canada’s rising metal acts—a must-hear for 2025 and 2026.
