New split album, “Indomitable Hostility”, out on November 20th!
US death metal masters Replicant join forces with like-minded Danish death metal fiends Elitist to collectively unleash some of the most wicked dissonant death metal created this year. Both bands have come up with brand new songs for this satisfying split release touching almost 40 minutes, with the music sounding like an extension of their established styles. Replicant are on fire after releasing two staggering full length albums and their new songs sound phenomenal here with extra nasty grooves, experimentation with female guest vocals, and they have even done a cover of Cocteau Twins. It’s top class stuff as expected from them. Elitist follow up on their well-received debut full length with four songs of incisive, carefully constructed, and perfectly executed material that should make fans of this kind of music sit up and take notice. Their latest contribution bodes well for the Danish death metal scene which has already seen albums this year on the same label from Carbon Tomb and Dysgnostic, with whom they share a member. This superbly paired split from two of the best bands in the style should be a no-brainer for those into forward-thinking death metal music.
