American-Canadian grindcore/goregrind duo RAW ADDICT unleashes debut album, “Swarm Decomposition”, on Selfmadegod Records.
Recorded after more than a decade of splits and ep’s, Swarm Decomposition delivers 15 tracks of absolutely pulverizing grindcore with death metal and goregrind overtones, sounding like a tribute to the golden era of ’90s Relapse Records (MORTICIAN, GENERAL SURGERY, HEMDALE), dragged through the sewer and spiked with raw DIY grind aesthetics. The album was mixed by Thrashcan (PIZZA HI-FIVE, COUPLE SKATE) and features artwork by Matt Slime (COFFIN DUST, NAUSEATOR).
RAW ADDICT was officially formed in 2016 by Isaac Horne (Sulfuric Cautery) and Joe Warkentin (Archagathus) and play brutal, fast-paced style combining grindcore, goregrind, and elements of death metal. The band embrace a DIY aesthetic, both in production and distribution, underlined by raw, unpolished grind sensibilities.
