New album “The Hollow Gaze Of Death” out on May 31st!
The Violence In The Veins label will release for the first time on LP The Hollow Gaze Of Death, the apocalyptic debut of the American band Nothingness. Originally released in 2019, The Hollow Gaze Of Death was great news for old school death doom, the kind that experiments with dense atmospheres and pays homage to the riff from the bottom of a cavern. In addition, the Minnesota combo’s debut album also incorporates some elements of modern death metal, making the experience even more terrifying.
All too heavy, in this album the feeling of discomfort doesn’t leave you at any moment thanks to its deathly tunes, its sickly vocals, and that pestilent halo of decadence, but also because of the recording, mixing and mastering by the reputed Adam Tucker at Signaturetone Recording (Thou, Vile Creature, Ulthar…). The cover, by Brian Hoffman, does absolute justice to the nightmarish universe depicted by these songs.
