New EP, “ir”!
“The idea of recording acoustic songs has been around for a while,” says Jan Korbach, who released his Alternative Country solo debut under the name ATEM in 2022. “During writing the ‘Concrete Americana’ album, I had the idea of recording a quieter and more intimate version of a neànder song”. Michael Zolkiewicz adds “apparently the time was right to realise this vision”. The “ir” EP was recorded for the first time entirely by the band. It was produced and mixed by guitarist Patrick Zahn: “Our aim was to create an authentic acoustic sound. We edited as little as possible and tried to capture the sound of the individual instruments as if you were standing right in front of us,” he says. The cover artwork was created by drummer Sebastian Grimberg.
