Debut album, “Goetia”, out on October 2nd!
Rising from the depths of the Rochester underground, death metal force Mazzaroth is set to strike with their debut full-length, Goetia.
Written and arranged entirely by Drew Wood, Goetia was recorded in April 2025 at Zenith Recording Studios in Lansing, MI, with Philip Winters handling engineering, mixing, and mastering. The album delivers a punishing homage to classic death metal while carving out its own unsettling identity. Expect the dark, chaotic essence of Dissection , the relentless riffing of Morbid Angel , and a suffocating sonic assault that’s unmistakably Mazzaroth.
Thematically, Goetia explores the forbidden and grotesque, drawing inspiration from the Greater and Lesser Keys of Solomon, the alien horror of Ridley Scott’s Alien, and the horrifying ancient punishment of scaphism. This is a record unafraid to merge the esoteric with the horrific, cementing Mazzaroth as a rising name in extreme metal.
