A virtual sequel to Magnetic Eye's massive Day of Doom Live label showcase at Saint Vitus Bar in 2019, this streaming performance event is meant to carry us through the last intervening months till the return of live gigs to stages everywhere. We cannot think of a more perfect way to fill the void than with sets from three bands who have new records dropping soon or just out (DOMKRAFT, HEAVY TEMPLE, and SOMNURI) alongside two bands who've definitely been feeling stir crazy without the ability to tour this past year (HOWLING GIANT and CAUSTIC CASANOVA). This blistering 5-band tag-team rumble will start on Saturday, May 15th at 5pm EDT (New York) / 23:00 CEST (Berlin, Paris) and will be streaming directly from the Magnetic Eye Facebook and at this Event Link free of charge.
Jadd Shickler comments: "Stock up now on your favorite snacks and beverages, and store away any breakables", advises the Magnetic Eye Records label director. "This is gonna be a sick evening of heaviness and we cannot wait. RSVP now!"
HEAVY TEMPLE came into being on the 2012 winter solstice in pursuit of the pure fun and joy of playing heavy music. This trio from Philadelphia has gained an excellent live reputation and toured alongside leading acts and at notable festivals despite their debut album "Lupi Amoris" just scheduled to come out in June this year. Don't miss this sneak preview courtesy of High Priestess Nighthawk and her lads.
DOMKRAFT have risen from the ashes of their previous apocalyptic-themed albums with their just released third full-length "Seeds". The acclaimed latest album from the titanic Swedish psychedelic riff-doom trio focuses on the idea of emerging from the ruins to start anew, building something different and better beyond the cataclysm. Watch the live premiere and get hammered!
Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, SOMNURI came into being out of a unique creative vision. Driven by a deep passion for all things heavy, they've been called American sludge metal but avoid easy tropes with their determined, iconoclastic approach. On the heels of gaining worldwide attention on the "Dirt" Redux-installment, they'll drop their crushing new album "Nefarious Wave" on June 4th.
With their frenetic, heavy-on-experimentation riff-rock, CAUSTIC CASANOVA scored two "Wammies", the Washington D.C. area equivalent to the Grammys (but with better taste) for "Best Hard Rock Album" and "Best Hard Rock Song" for their 2019 album "God How I Envy the Deaf". These road dogs would normally be touring their butts off, but at least they'll be online here to kick ass big time.
HOWLING GIANT created a huge global buzz with the release of their 2019 debut full-length "The Space Between Worlds" and back to back slots at Psycho Las Vegas in 2018 and 2019. Founded in 2014, their cosmic psych-metal gained them a dedicated audience with three self-released EPs, and they provided memorable tracks on MER's "Best of Black Sabbath" and "Dirt [Redux]". Their next album is expected in 2022.
