New album, “Necrowork”, out on November 17th!
Old School Swedish Death Metal from Östersund in Sweden! Using the maxed out HM-2 guitar sound, Gut Ripper has its feet firmly planted in the early 90s extreme metal scene.
Gut Ripper has announced the release of their highly anticipated second studio album ‘Necrowork’, which was recorded entirely in the band’s rehearsal space. The album marks the next step in the band’s career, as their last album was released over five years ago. With the need for new songs in their set list, this much-anticipated addition is sure to excite fans. One of the songs, Born to Rot, is a tribute to their late bass player, Anders Eklund, who passed away due to cancer in April 2020. The album was recorded using real live amplifiers and acoustic drums, with the band members themselves handling the recording, mixing, and mastering. The recording sessions took place between 2022 and 2023, with mixing and mastering taking place during 2023. Gut Ripper’s second studio album ‘Necrowork’ promises to be a powerful tribute to their late band member and an exciting new addition to their discography.
