New album, “Songs For The Rain God Pt. 2”, out on November 20th!
Founded in 2021 by Tamás (Tom) Géza Albert in Győr, Hungary, EMBERTEARS is a solo project built around concept releases. Following The Flood (2022), Blue Chapter (2023), Red Chapter (2024) and the 2025 EP Songs For The Rain God Pt. 1, the new record continues the story introduced on its predecessor.
Songs For The Rain God Pt. 2 draws on sludge, progressive and stoner metal, moving between heavy distorted riffs, clean melodic sections and more technical guitar passages. The songs shift between slow, mid-paced and faster sections, with regular tempo changes and time signatures ranging from 4/4 and 3/4 to 5/4, 6/4 and other meters.
Lyrically, the album presents a personal interpretation of the Spanish conquest of Mesoamerica led by Hernán Cortés, while also approaching the events from the perspective of the Aztec Empire.
The entire album was composed, performed, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Tamás (Tom) Géza Albert.
