Debut album!
Between the dream and the green freshness of the forest, coming from Francisco Frutuoso’s desire (voice and keys) to transpose his imagination into music, the Eigreen project was born. Retained in the trunk for 8 years, due to her involvement in other bands, the impossibility of recording in the studio and the insecurity of bringing such a personal creation to the public, the songs were discovered by her twin sister Luisa Levi (vocals), who immediately wanted to start singing that songs. From there, it took a while to convince him to join a group of friends to give them more shape: Carlos Serra (bass), Joao Ribeiro (guitar) and Rui Pedro Martins (drums).
Eigreen’s compositions range from acoustic to dream rock, through trip-hop and downtempo. The landscapes intersect hot riffs and elegant keys. A soothing bass and a duo of voices that leave us adrift among a spring forest covered with fresh greenery and, at the same time, lift us to a distant sky where we fly alongside the birds.
Their debut album, homonym, was recorded at Blue House Studios and mixed by Niki Moss at Pontiaq Studios.
In nature resides that duality that can intimidate and frightens and, at the same time, release ourselves. Eigreen’s first album carries with it a mix of anxiety and liberation that can be associated with nature when materialized by instruments.
Eigreen is a record that absorbs the soul and whose soul can swallow, too. Like life itself, which comes from mother nature, it is divided into several stages. These phases symbolize the connection between Francisco and the disc and, therefore, with nature. Each phase has merely instrumental interludes separating them from one another. Rise, Peak and Fall are the phases where feeling is faced with creation, adventure, discovery, passion, admiration and empowerment.
There are 8 songs that make us dream and travel, feeling a fresh breeze that touches our body and soul, awakening all our senses. Even those that, willingly or unintentionally, we hide.
