Debut album, “Time Loop”, out on July 11th!
After two decades lost in cosmic exile, the enigmatic cult figure Doctor D has returned from the galactic void with a vengeance. His long-buried and once-censored debut album, Time Loop , finally sees the light of Earth on July 11, 2025 —a raw and relentless resurrection of old-school sonic fury.
Originally recorded in 2002 under the title D-Liverance and buried by label politics, the album was left in stasis as Doctor D vanished into the mythos of the underground. Now, reanimated by a dimension-tearing time loop and the assistance of longtime collaborator Jeff Arwadi (aka Meister J ), Time Loop emerges in reimagined form—a thunderous document of crust-drenched chaos and ‘80s metal nostalgia that never had its rightful place in history… until now.
Doctor D’s sound is a volatile hybrid of his anarcho-punk/crust roots and the earliest black and death metal chaos—laced with dungeon-synth atmospherics and driven by D-beat rhythms, chainsaw riffs, and cosmic madness. For those who revel in the raw energy of Amebix, the evil majesty of Celtic Frost, the proto-extremity of Bathory, and the unrelenting grit of Discharge , Time Loop offers a ceremonial awakening of the ancient gods of metal.
Doctor D began his musical journey in 1996 under the name Bealiah , releasing four cult cassette-only demos through Indonesian underground label THT Productions. In 2000, he took on the moniker Doctor D and recorded his supposed debut full-length—only to have it shelved indefinitely by a label that redirected him to another band. By 2004, Doctor D vanished from the metal scene entirely—only to be rumored as entering hibernation aboard an alien Andromedan mothership.
Now, awakened from his 20-year cryo-stasis, Doctor D returns to the Earth simulation, bringing with him a sonic relic that bends time itself.
Produced, engineered, mixed, and re-mastered by Jeff Arwadi.
