Debut album “Return Into Forever” out on July 4th!
“Return Into Forever” is the debut album for Clarent Blade, the new heavy metal project of Ayloss of Spectral Lore and Mystras. It is a departure from the familiar (for listeners of the aforementioned two projects) musical fields of atmospheric black metal, towards a musical tribute to 80’s and 90’s heavy/epic metal and bands like Manilla Road, Lordian Guard/Warlord, Brocas Helm, Cirith Ungol, early Fates Warning and more.”Return into Foverer” is a throwback into times that heavy metal music was perhaps at its most fantasy-laden, ambitious and epic.
The intention of this first recording (featuring four long heavy metal tracks and two dungeon synth inspired interludes) is to present a cult feeling similar to the demos/early recordings of these classic bands and other more obscure heavy metal entities, hence the production has been kept simple and close to a lo-fi aesthetic, while all instruments and voice have been handled by Ayloss in similar fashion to Spectral Lore and Mystras. Considering that Clarent Blade is planned to turn into a “real band” with intentions of playing live and doing studio recordings instead of just being a music project however, perhaps it would best if this first album was seen as a first show of what Clarent Blade will do in the future, rather than a complete image. So, expect more Clarent Blade soon!
