New EP “Obscurus Perpetua” out on March 22nd!
CAEDEOUS is a Portuguese symphonic black / extreme metal project from composer and instrumentalist Paulo J. Mendes with several invited session vocalists. In 2017 the project released the first singles and album Domini Tenebrarum, which also saw the release of a dedicated orchestral version in 2018. Domini Tenebrarum was received with several good reviews and elected as one of the top 20 albums of the year.
In 2019 Paulo J. Mendes started to compose the second album Obscurus Perpetua. In 2021 began official recordings with Paulo J. Mendes assuming all instruments (bass, guitar, piano, drums), and later D.M. (HELIOS, CELESTIAL SWARM) joined the project on main vocals and growls. Obscurus Perpetua will be a new stepstone for CAEDEOUS that embraces a new sound and project philosophy marking a new era moving forward.
