Since their formation in December 2018, Cystic Embalmment has carved out a notorious place in the goregrind scene. With a lineup featuring Alain Jackson (Carbonized 16 Year Old Victim, Vaginal Addiction) on guitars, Tommy Gilbert (Vaginal Addiction) on drums, Brian Lanteigne (Holy Cost, Exsanguinate) on vocals, and Arnaud Cloutier (Barbaric Penetration, Exsanguinate) on bass and backing vocals, the band has delivered relentless grindcore that embodies what they now call “Sewergrind.”
Their sound—a mix of blistering high BPM blast beats, crushing d-beats, crust-infused fury, and a nauseating layer of gurgles, vomits, and toilet noises—has been honed through a series of tapes, demos, EPs, and split releases through Sulfuric Diarrhea Records. Their 2023 debut full-length, Folklore De Fond D’égout, introduced the world to their 25-track onslaught of relentless sewer-infused goregrind.
Now, Cystic Embalmment is back with Bardassage Auditif, a new offering that promises to push the boundaries of filth and sonic brutality even further. Fans of extreme metal and goregrind won’t want to miss this next chapter in the band’s saga of sickness and destruction.
