New album, “Khamsin”, out on November 27th!
French black metal band Aodon unleash their fourth and most accomplished album to date. They’ve been refining their craft over the years and integrating elements to enhance their black metal sound. As a result, their music is a homogenous blend of sounds – intense, melodic, atmospheric, even melancholic – that amplify the emotions and that too in a compelling manner. The music is almost never one-dimensional; every song undergoes transformation in varying degrees to contribute something valuable and meaningful to the album. Much like life, it showcases the turmoil, anguish, and even flashes of triumph, emotions that are all too palpable in their delicately arranged and tempered music. “Khamsin” is a striking album of emotional yet understated expression, and one that makes a powerful and lasting impact.
