New album "Thirteen"!
Blistering live shows give Bad to the Bone the reputation as one of the most exciting Dutch rock and roll bands. Before they even released an album, they've been getting recommendations of veterans such as Mick Ronson and Dr. Feelgood-singer Lee Brilleaux. Also the famous British rhythm & blues producer Mike Vernon, whom they send a demo, gets excited about their music. This top producer produces their debut album, entitled Bad to the Bone.
The band rapidly gets the reputation of most playing Club act of the Netherlands.
After the very successful debut, the successor is once again produced by Mike Vernon: Whirlwind On Fire, an album that sees Kinks-keyboardist Ian Gibbons as a special guest. On this album the rhythm and blues influences, are something pushed back in favor of razor-sharp Rock 'n' roll. Not long afterwards, the group concluded they have taking their music to the max and start an extensive farewell tour, highlighted by a very last gig in Tivoli.
In 1996 Marc and Maarten Ibelings decide to bring back the band to the scene, along with bass player Paul van Schaik and former Doppelgangers drummer Karel Dops.
Record label Play It Again Sam releases: Primitive Urge in 1998. Bad to the Bone’s third album is produced by former Spasmodique-drummer Reinier Rietveld.
Then Bad to the Bone returns to silence and the years pass until 2017. But now, the band is back ... with the best album ever produced: Thirteen, back to conquer the stage by storm, leaving behind sweaty and steamy rooms...
