New EP "Definitely Unfinished" out on June 4th!
Bordeaux-based trio W!ZARD have found their own musical signature by associating hot-tempered vocals, pounding drums and a howling guitar. The result is a perfect sonic balance between post-hardcore troupe Daughters and Canadian band Metz's stomp no wave. With their new video "Bones", W!ZARD showcase the suffocating side of the daily routine, expressing both problem and way out by mean of powerful vocal onslaughts and truthful post-punk guitars. Directed by Simon Zhou and Hugo Cayla.
Recorded and mixed at Apiary Studio (Laval, France) by Amaury Sauvé from hardcore punk band Birds In Row, W!ZARD's new EP 'Definitely Unfinished' fiercely blends noise, post-punk and post-hardcore to produce this bold violent and depressive sound. Mastered at Deviant Lab by Thibault Chaumont.
Born in 2016, French threesome W!ZARD self-released two EPs in 2016 and 2017 before issuing their eponymous debut album in March 2018. They won a few music competitions in France (Prix de la Sacem, Prix de la Ville de Bordeaux) and in Spain (Bilborock). As a matter of fact the band shines the most by playing live, supporting fine acts such as General Elektriks or The Psychotic Monks, or by touring Europe. Catching them on stage is crucial to get the full extent of their potential!
