Dutch avant-garde dark rock ensemble, GOLD, have announced a fresh string of European tour dates. Hot on the heels of a spring tour in support of their latest album, Why Aren't You Laughing?, they are already gearing up for another stint on the road.
The album release was celebrated at Roadburn Festival, before the band packed up their van and went on tour. With critical acclaim rolling in for the album, the six-piece performed tracks from the darkly personal album across Europe. Their next live performance will be at the iconic French festival, Hellfest, followed by shows right through til the end of the year - and even a show already confirmed for 2020. See full dates below.
Vocalist, Milena Eva comments: "We've been waiting to share this with you all. The first run of shows touring the new album has been amazing and we're very pleased to let you know that we'll be touring again this September, October, November and in between. We're coming back to places that feel like home, as well as discovering territories that are new for us. We can't wait to see your friendly faces."
The sound of Why Aren't You Laughing? marries hypnotic gothic vibes with layers of blackened guitars, overlaid with atmospheric, often dream-like vocals. The multi-faceted album is complex in its construction, but by enlisting producer Jaime Gomez Arellano (Paradise Lost, Grave Pleasures), each element is given ample room to breathe - and indeed shine. Catch GOLD on the road to hear their unique sound brought to life.
